Cal Raleigh reaches his 38th home run in 2025, making history once more.

Cal Raleigh, catcher for the Seattle Mariners, hit two home runs, including a grand slam, against the Tigers, his 38th before the All-Star break. He is the first player to reach the midseason classic with more than 80 RBIs and 38 HRs since 1933.

During the first half of the 2025 Major League Baseball season, Cal Raleigh has become a superstar for the Seattle Mariners. night’s game against the Detroit Tigers proved to be another grand occasion for the catcher.

On July 11, Raleigh hit his 38th home run of the season when he hit a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning against the Tigers. After a solo hit in the top of the eighth, it was his second home run of the evening.

After that, the Mariners defeated the Tigers 12–3.

According to the Mariners PR social media account, Raleigh became the first player to record 38+ home runs and 80+ RBI prior to the All-Star break since the first MLB All-Star Game in 1933.

Barry Bonds, who hit 39 home runs before the All-Star break in 2001, is the only player with more home runs than him.
